Most important advice?
Wear comfortable shoes! It’s an outdoor wedding at a historical site.
RSVP as soon as you can, by July 9th - the wedding is very intimate.
Unplug, especially during the ceremony - we have an excellent photography and videography team.
How’s the weather?
The weather should be comfortable at a Mediterranean 21C-26C (70F-80F) with mild humidity and a cool breeze. Sunrise will be at 6:45am, sunset will be at 7:30pm. Bring a partner or a pashmina to keep you warm when the sun goes down!
What should I expect at Segesta?
Segesta is an archaeological park on Mount Barbaro in Sicily. Our ceremony will be held in the Theater of Segesta, a 2nd-century B.C. amphitheater, and our reception will be held at the Temple of Segesta, a 5th-century B.C. Doric temple. They’re very old and not very paved, so we highly encourage comfortable shoes as the surfaces may be uneven. Please be respectful of the surrounding environment. The bushes are prone to wildfires at the end of the summer season.
After the ceremony, we will have a cocktail hour until sunset. Guests will then be transported to the reception five minutes away. Everything will be taken care of from the moment you get on the bus around 4pm to when you’re dropped off at your hotel after the wedding.
Help! How do I get to your wedding events?
The welcome dinner and farewell picnic will be held at Villa Tasca in Palermo, a 10-minute taxi ride from the center of town. Taxi companies are listed on the Travel page.
We have arranged transportation to and from the wedding venue on Tuesday, September 9th. The journey to and from Segesta is about an hour - departure times coming soon.
I’ve missed your scheduled transport - what do I do?
Call a cab! Or run to Villa Tasca, you can ride with Michael or Angeline.
I’m driving - what’s the sitch?
There’s parking, but you may need to walk a few minutes further.
Please arrive by 5:20pm.
Do I get a plus-one?
Shoot one of us a message, and we can absolutely talk about it. The wedding is very intimate, and the historic venues do have restrictions. We will try our best to make things work.
Do you have a registry?
We are ever so grateful for your presence and all the effort it takes to be there to celebrate with us.
For this reason, we ask that for our wedding gift, you treat yourselves and have an extraordinary time in Sicily.
What should I wear?
Glad you asked! The dress code is well-defined here for all events - simplified below.
Welcome Dinner - Qipao or cocktail dresses and jackets
Wedding Day - Formal dresses and tuxedos
Farewell Picnic - All-white resortwear
Is there a dress code for the wedding reception?
Please feel free to stay in the same attire through dinner, with the option to remove your jackets, undo your bowties, and let loose post-cake.
Are children invited?
How could we say no to our adorable nieces and nephews! For those bringing young children, I would like to caution that the wedding venue is not the most convenient for children as there are no indoor areas for a napping (or hungry) baby, and the bathroom facilities are limited. Please reach out with any concerns you have, we will work it out together.
